Big East Picks for the day

St. John’s - This is the one team that people around the country have hopped on the bandwagon for recently, and for good reason. They take good shots, they are physical, and they are well-coached on top of playing home games at MSG. Marquette scraped by Xavier yesterday, but I don’t see them “surviving and advancing” against a team as good as St. John’s; you have to go out there and beat them.

UConn - The same thing applies to them. Creighton barely beat DePaul last night, and you just will not get away with games like that at this level of basketball going forward. You will need to go out and straight-up beat teams. UConn's shot-making is currently very good, which is something you need to make a run in March because they are more than talented enough to make noise in the NCAA Tournament.
