College Basketball Crown Day 1

Utah vs. Butler - Utah was the better team until they fired their coach and lost eight players to the transfer portal. I don't think they will have enough players to compete with a Butler team that has only one player in the portal, who didn't even play this year. Butler has had the same coach and team for the entire season. I expect them to get the job done in this one.

George Washington vs. Boise State - Both of these teams have two players in the portal, and they both have good coaching staffs. However, I think Tyson Degenhart will be too much to handle for the Revolutionaries in this matchup. Boise State is too good for this field; if they lose, it's their own fault. The only way they accepted the invite to this tournament was to win the NIL money at the end.

Nebraska vs. Arizona State - This is probably the closest game in terms of skill level on each side, but Arizona State is missing one difference-maker due to the transfer portal. I don’t think that it will matter because Nebraska has the better team, and I see them getting this one done.

Washington State vs. Georgetown - Washington State's best player is in the transfer portal, and I don't think they have enough firepower to keep up with Georgetown, even if Calmese weren't in the portal. Even though I hate Georgetown Coach they should get this doen.
