College Basketball Crown 2nd Round
Butler vs. Boise State - Boise State is the best team in this bracket, and it's not close. I expect Tyson Degenhart to reach 2,000 career points in this game tonight and for them to cover the spread easily. The only reason they would participate in this tournament over the NIT is that they want the $500K grand prize.
Nebraska vs. Georgetown - This should be a fun, up-and-down-the-court game that should be very high-scoring. If the coach's son for Nebraska plays like he did in the last game against Arizona State, I don't see how Georgetown will win. Georgetown came into the bracket as one of the favorites, but they struggled against a Washington State team that isn't very good, so they will likely struggle with a competitive Big Ten team.
UCF vs. Cincinnati - This will be the second time they have played this season. The first time they faced each other, they ended up scoring almost 200 points, with the final score being 93-83 after 40 minutes of play. I expect more of the same from two teams whose strong suit isn't defense. I believe that Cincinnati is the better team overall, but I wouldn't count out Johnny Dawkins' team ever.
Villanova vs. USC - Villanova has the best scorer in the whole tournament, but they are going against a battle-tested USC team that has some very good wins this season, despite also having some equally bad losses. I think there will be too much Dixon for USC to handle in this one. I believe we are on a crash course for Degenhart vs. Dixon in the final.
